Melaka, August 24, 2026 — Inspector-General of Police (IGP) IG Tan Sri Datuk Seri Hj. Mohd Khalid Hj. Ismail was conferred the Darjah Gemilang Seri Melaka (D.G.S.M.) this morning, which carries the title 'Datuk Seri', at the Seri Negeri Ceremonial Hall in Ayer Keroh.

The Investiture Ceremony for Melaka State Orders, Credentials, Stars, and Medals was held in conjunction with the 77th birthday celebration of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri (Governor) of Melaka, Tun Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam.

Also gracing the ceremony was the wife of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Melaka, Toh Puan Datuk Wira (Dr.) Hajah Asmah binti Abdul Rahman.
