Athorough investigation will be carried out on alleged financial impropriety involving 1 Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB), said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
The investigation, he said, was being carried out by a task force spearheaded by Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail and comprised representatives from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM), the A-G's Chambers and the police.
He said the case fell under commercial crime and investigations would be carried out before making any arrest.
