The Royal Malaysian Police managed to bring down the number of accidents and fatalities tfirough "Op Selamat" which was launched a week before Aidilfitri.
Bukit Aman Statistic Deputy Chief of Investigation and Traffic Department, DSP Yazid Kasim said the most common offence commincd by motorists, according to police records, was using tlie emergency lane to get to their destination.
Op Selamat was aimed at educating the public on courteous driving, to respect other drivers and follow the rules.
