Kota Bharu, 7th July 2023 - Drug-smuggling syndicates have diversified their "business” by stuffing guns into their packages being brought in from Thailand.

Kota Bharu, 7th July 2023 - Drug-smuggling syndicates have diversified their "business” by stuffing guns into their packages being brought in from Thailand.

Kelantan Police Chief, CP Dato’ Muhamad Zaki Hj. Harun said these “two-in-one" packages were discovered by police through a series of operations statewide.

“Based on the cases recorded, these syndicates actively operating along the Kelantan-Thailand border are bringing in guns along with drugs.”

Dato’ Muhamad Zaki said 18 smuggled firearms had been seized since last year.
