Kuala Lumpur : Police hope to wrap up investigations into the fatal shooting of Aminul Rashid Hamzah by this week.

Selangor police chief DCP Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar told reporters this morning the result of investigations would be handed over to the deputy public prosecutor for a decision. He said police would take a statement from Aminul's friend who fled the scene after incident.

Aminul, the youngest of eight siblings, died after a policeman shot at the car he was driving at 2am in Shah Alam on Monday.

Several policeman involved in the incident have since been assigned to desk duties.

Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan urged parents not to allow their children to drive without a licence.

"Even if you don't have a licence, please stop when ordered to by police to prevent unfortunate incidents like this."
