Ipoh, 16th Mac 2021 - A RM10,000 compound supposedly issued over a violation of the COVID-19 standard operating procedure (SOP) in Kampung Rapat here that was highlighted on the Facebook page of Kuan Chee Heng, does not exist.
Ipoh Officer Chief of Police District (OCPD), ACP Tuan A. Asmadi Abdul Aziz said checks revealed there was no compound issued by the SOP enforcement team from the district police headquarters as claimed.
"Further checks with the owner of the Kuan Chee Heng Facebook page revealed that the complainant could not be contacted through the phone number provided to verify the claim, which has gone viral." He said a report was lodged by the Kampung Rapat police station, Ipoh, Perak chief regarding the claim.
