Kuala Lumpur, 9th February 2021 - The RM1 billion Permai allocation for Malaysia’s frontliners means a lot to members of the police and armed forces.
Retired Senior Police Officers Association of Malaysia (RESPA) president Tan Sri Dato' Mohd Ismail Che Rus commended the extra allocation, saying that it would be a big boost for the frontliners.
“The extra allocation of RM200 million to the National Security Council (NSC) and other agencies, including to the police, is much needed as they are among the frontliners directly involved in combating the pandemic.
“RESPA extends our sincerest thanks and appreciation to the government for the financial allocation,” he said, adding that RESPA prays that the frontliners will always be safe.
The Malaysian Armed Forces Veterans Association (PVATM) president Captain (Rtd) Datuk Sharuddin Haji Omar said that the allocation is a welcome investment to ensure that the people are always protected.
“To me, this is a small price to pay for the protection of the people,” he added.
