On Jan 6, Bukit Aman management director Dato’ Pahlawan Zulkifli Abdullah launched the Trim N Fit programme for federal police, in a bid to reduce the amount of obese officers and the risk of those falling ill.
The pilot programme brings in 35 officers aged 35 to 55 from various departments of the Bukit Aman federal police force to undergo six months of intensive training, which, if successful, will be implemented nationwide.
Spearheaded by Zulkifli, who is also one of the participants, the programme aims to motivate officers to live a healthier, fitter lifestyle and set the tone for the public.
When met at the gym after their one-hour workout session on Thursday, Zulkifli said he felt lighter and fitter even though he just began the programme.
