A marketing manager pleaded guilty at the magistrate's court yesterday to a charge of lodging a false police report. 

Syed Mohammed Syed Mohd Afandi, 25, was charged with making a false police report at the Johor Bharu Selatan police station here on Friday at 8pm where he claimed he was a snatch theft victim.

He was charged under Section 182 of the Penal Code. Magistrate Noor Aisyah Ahmad imposed a RM400 fine or one month's jail in default.
