Kuala Lumpur, 30th October 2021 – The RM13 million allocation for the Bukit Aman Sexual, Women and Child Investigations Division (D11), including creating 100 new posts, is timely.
"My gratitude to the Prime Minister, Home Ministry, and Finance Ministry for the allocation.
"1 would also like to thank all the enforcement agencies and NGOs which helped in championing the protection of children and women," said Assistant Director of D11, Crime Investigation Department, ACP Puan Siti Kamsiah Hassan.
Alliance for Safe Community Chairman, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye commended the allocation, calling it a much-needed boost for the investigative abilities of D11.
"The additional posts will greatly strengthen the investigation into crimes against women and children. It is very timely," he said.
Introducing community awareness programmes on violence against women under Skuad Waja - as announced under Budget 2022 - was also a good move, given the increase of such crimes, he added.
