Inspector-General of Police (IGP), IG Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said, his men had met with multiple agencies, including the banks, to discuss measures to effectively govern and monitor the industry, purportedly tainted with influence from secret society groups.

“Criminal Investigation Department Director, CP Dato’ Sri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain will give the statement.

“He had arranged for the meeting, and they have called in multiple agencies, including the banks,” he said on the sidelines of the National Language Decade Carnival and National Reading Decade.

Tan Sri Razarudin previously said the police would request the banks establish a robust governance system to combat and deter criminal activities associated with repossession agents.
