Kuala Lumpur, 10th November 2022 - Police Ragbi kept their Agong's Cup rugby title aspirations on track after scoring a hard-fought 27-18 victory over a determined Kuala Lumpur (KL) in their Pool D encounter in Semenyih today.
The home side got on the scoresheet through tries from Fijian trio Tevita Mociu, Keponi Paul and Kolinio Yabia (two), with Ikhwan Akmal Zulkipli converting two of them. Faizal Md Tahir also scored one penalty.
KL's Ikhwan Mad Zohir kicked two penalties while their tries were scored by Josua Ratumoko and Azim Nasri, with Nafis Mohd Salleh converting one of them.
"I am not too pleased with our overall performance," said Police coach, Sargeant Shahril Azri Abdul Raup.
"In terms of chemistry and fitness, we are only about 60 percent. We will look to improve in certain areas before our next match against Perlis," he said.
Sargeant Shahril Azri disclosed that Police are still missing five key players, including former national player Wan Izzuddin Ismail, who are on duty due to the general election.
