Pertemuan itu merupakan antara siri lawatan kerja rasmi ke Washington, di Amerika Syarikat bertujuan membincangkan kerjasama risikan, pengurusan kes berprofil tinggi serta aspek pembangunan kapasiti antara Malaysia dengan Amerika Syarikat.

Hadir sama, Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha (Dasar dan Kawalan) Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN), Dr. Abdul Gapar Hj. Abu Bakar.
