Johor Bahru: Instead of the usual rendang and ketupat, "guests" at a "Hari Raya celebration party" at a house in Taman Suria Muafakat here were served with drugs.
The party came to an end when police personnel from Johor Bahru South raided the house and arrested eight men and a woman, in their 20s and 30s, at 10.45pm on Tuesday.
Johor Bahru South police chief Assistant Commissioner Sulaiman Salleh said the suspects were in a room and high on drugs. He said police found 16 packets of heroin weighing 38g and two packets of methamphetamine weighing 1.7g on the floor of the room.
"Most of the suspects are unemployed." Sulaiman said the case was being investigated for drug trafficking, drug possession and the consumption of drugs.
