Keratan Akhbar Pilihan People Must Play Role Of Frontliners
Kuala Lumpur, 15th October - The government reiterated calls for the people to continue assuming the role of frontliners in the fight against the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has hit several parts of the country.
In making the call, Senior Minister (Minister of Defence), Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the COVID-19 virus would be among us until a vaccine was found.
He said it was imperative for the people to continue practising self-regulation apart from complying with the standard operating procedures (SOP) enforced by the government to protect themselves, their families and the community from being exposed to the virus.
“We should not only be afraid (and respect and work closely) with the frontliners, we should also assume their roles to break the transmission chain of the virus.
“Until a COVID-19 vaccine is found, we will be surrounded by individuals who may be carriers of the virus,” he said.
