Kuala Lumpur, 29th December 2023 - Bukit Aman is ready to help flood-affected residents get back on their feet, including cleaning up homes and relocating evacuees, says CP Dato’ Sri Hazani Ghazali.
The Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director said more than 10,000 personnel are on standby to be deployed to floodhit areas nationwide.
“The north-east monsoon season is going to last until March next year, thus department personnel are ready to assist in any capacity.
“Our logistical capabilities are sufficient. We have boats, ships and helicopters ready to be mobilised for the floods. All personnel are ready to be deployed at any given moment.
“We are more focused on helping victims after the floods. We have sufficient manpower to assist in any capacity,” he said when contacted.
