Kuala Lumpur, 7th February 2020 – It is a worrying trend - more syabu is flooding the market and being sold cheaper to drug users.
In the last three years, Bukit Aman’s Narcotic Crime Investigation Department (NCID) has seized 10.9 tonnes of syabu worth more than RM436 million.
Bukit Aman is now setting its sights on users who the police feel will help in cutting down the supply.
Bukit Aman NCID director CP Dato’ Mohd Khalil Kader Mohd revealed that a whopping RM2.7 billion worth of drugs were seized last year and syabu led the synthetic drug seizures with 5.05 tonnes worth RM20.23 million.
