Johor Bharu, 10th July 2024 – Defence simulations will be carried out at police stations nationwide. These exercises will be done to keep police personnel up to date on how to react in case of potential threats or attacks.

Johor Bharu, 10th July 2024 – Defence simulations will be carried out at police stations nationwide. These exercises will be done to keep police personnel up to date on how to react in case of potential threats or attacks.

One such exercise was conducted at the Setia Indah police station in Johor Bharu recently. The exercise involved at least 30 police personnel of various ranks.

The simulation exercise included a drill on immediate action procedures, emergency protocols and tactical and combat procedures applied while facing critical scenarios or attacks. The move follows the attack at the Ulu Tiram police station on May 17.

In the 2.45am attack on the police station on May 17, Constable Ahmad Azza Fahmi Azhar, 22, and Constable Muhamad Syafiq Ahmad Said, 24, were killed by a masked intruder armed with a machete, while Corporal Mohd Hasif Roslan was shot and injured.

Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said such exercises are a crucial part of modern-day policing.
