Biography

He began his career as Officer in Charge of Police District Baling in January 1948 and subsequently attended policing courses in the United Kingdom, including the Bramshill Police College.

Throughout his service he held the posts of Head of Penang Special Branch, Deputy Director and later Director of the Special Branch before being appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police in January 1972.

He became Inspector General of Police on 1 February 1973 until his tragic death in an attack by subversive elements on 7 June 1974.
