Biography

His career in the force began in the Administration Branch at Bukit Aman on 9 February 1970, followed by various posts in Administration, Establishments and Discipline before holding the field post of OCPD Administration Central Melaka on 28 December 1977.

He later became Commandant of the Police College Kuala Kubu Bharu, Chief Police Officer of Selangor, Commissioner of Police Sabah and Director of the Special Branch Bukit Aman before being appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police on 14 June 1989 and Inspector General of Police on 16 January 1994.
