The Royal Malaysian Police consists of 137,574 senior police officers, police officers and civil servants. This membership reflects the diversity of assignments carried out by the PDRM, from the General Task Force which carries out the traditional policing duties and always stands side by side with the people, to the General Operations Team which carries out non-regulatory tasks such as preventing the entry of illegal immigrants and fighting against the rise of communist terrorists some time ago.

In carrying out the trust and responsibilities entrusted to by the people, the PDRM is assisted by a support group consisting of Additional Police, Police Volunteers, Auxiliary Police, Police Cadets and civil servants. This group plays an important role in determining the security and well-being of the country.
