Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS)
The Integrity and Standards Compliance Department (JIPS) is a key division within the Royal Malaysia Police responsible for strengthening integrity, discipline, and compliance among police personnel.
JIPS was officially established on 25 July 2014 under Section 6(b) of the Police Act 1967. The initiative was led by Khalid Abu Bakar, the 10th Inspector-General of Police, as part of efforts to enhance internal governance and accountability.
The department consolidates several existing functions, including disciplinary secretariat, religious and counselling services, and internal inspection units into a dedicated structure focused on integrity and compliance.
JIPS is headed by a Director with the rank of Commissioner of Police (CP) and supported by three Deputy Directors:
- Deputy Director (Integrity)
- Deputy Director (Standards Compliance)
- Deputy Director (Religious and Counselling)
