The Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) was officially established on March 25, 2016, in conjunction with the 209th Police Day Celebration. It stands as a crucial pillar within the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP), dedicated to ensuring the safety, compliance, and smooth operation of the nation's roadways.

Core Objectives JSPT was founded with the primary objective of becoming the leading department in traffic management. Its core service areas are categorized into:

• Traffic Investigation and Legal Affairs

• Traffic Law Enforcement

• Traffic Control

• Summons Management

Vision To be the leading traffic enforcement agency in determining the safety and comfort of all road users.

Mission To provide efficient, professional, and high-quality services in protecting and guaranteeing a safe environment for all road users.

Organizational Structure To ensure operational efficiency, JSPT is systematically structured. At the Bukit Aman Police Headquarters level, the department is led by a Senior Police Officer holding the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC), who serves as the Director of JSPT. The Director is supported by the following leadership team:
