Royal Malaysian Police Occupational Safety and Health Policy
The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) is determined to implement the PDRM Occupational Safety and Health Policy efficiently and effectively by:
- Increasing the level of awareness, occupational safety, and health;
- Identifying hazards and implementing risk management analysis at the workplace to protect PDRM personnel while recognizing employees as the most important asset;
- Creating a work environment that is conducive, safe, and healthy.
In this regard, PDRM is committed to:
- Complying with the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Act and other requirements related to PDRM activities in line with the Police Act 1967;
- Preparing, reviewing, and updating Hazard Identification Risk Assessment And Risk Control (HIRARC) and Safe Working Procedure (SWP) to strengthen PDRM operations and administration based on occupational safety and health;
- Providing information, guidance, instructions, training, and supervision to nurture disciplined PDRM personnel so that the occupational safety and health culture is at a high level and becomes a routine practice in performing any task;
- Ensuring continuous improvement in PDRM’s occupational safety and health management and performance through a comprehensive internal audit process;
- Striving to implement occupational safety and health levels through various appropriate methods and approaches to all PDRM personnel;
- Establishing collaboration and cooperation with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health to address issues related to the occupational safety and health of PDRM personnel.
PDRM believes this policy is a catalyst in enhancing the safety and health of PDRM personnel in providing professional services in line with PDRM’s Vision and Mission. I hereby give full commitment to the successful implementation of PDRM Occupational Safety and Health.
